HOW DOES THIS FLOW WORK

HOW TO ENABLE THE FLOW

WHY SHOULD YOU USE THIS FLOW?

Did you know that 40% of COD orders are returned by customers. A big majority of these returns are due to impulsive purchases without any commitment from shoppers.

This flow is advantageous in many ways:

→ It helps to reduce fraud: Reconfirming COD orders before shipping can help to reduce the risk of fraud, as it allows the merchant to verify the customer's information and ensure that the order is legitimate.

→ It helps to avoid shipping to incorrect addresses: Reconfirming COD orders before shipping can help to ensure that the package is shipped to the correct address, which can help to reduce the risk of lost or undelivered packages.

→ It can improve the customer experience: By reconfirming COD orders before shipping, merchants can show that they are proactive and take the time to ensure that orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This can improve the customer's overall experience with the merchant.

→ It can help to reduce shipping errors: Reconfirming COD orders before shipping can help to catch any errors in the order, such as incorrect item quantities or shipping addresses, which can help to reduce shipping errors and improve the efficiency of the fulfilment process.

Based on data from 6 million customers who were asked to re-confirm an order we found that

→ 7% of customers will cancel their order

→ 33% will not respond and

→ 60% will reconfirm.

That means, for every 1000 COD orders you would save at least $140 in unnecessarily incurred cost by enabling this flow. Assuming it will save you at least $2 in costs by

→ Avoiding unnecessary Forward & reverse shipping logistics cost.

→ Avoiding unnecessary Blocked Inventory (Items stuck in transit).

→ Avoiding unnecessary Physical quality check and re-packaging of returned items.

BENEFITS OF THIS FLOW

There are several benefits to using the Reconfirm COD Orders - 2 Attempts (without auto cancel) Flow, including:

  • Reduced cancellations: By reminding customers to confirm their orders, you can reduce the number of cancellations that you receive. This can help you avoid the costs associated with cancelled orders, such as restocking fees and lost revenue.
  • Improved inventory accuracy: When customers confirm their orders, you can be sure that your inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date. This can help you avoid overselling and ensure that you always have the products that your customers want in stock.
  • Increased efficiency: By automating the reconfirmation process, you can save time and resources that would otherwise be spent manually contacting customers. This can free up your team to focus on other tasks, such as marketing and customer service.

HOW DOES THIS FLOW WORK?

Traditionally, companies have tried to reconfirm COD orders by calling customers who placed the orders. However, this approach is unscalable and capital-intensive, especially for businesses with a large customer base. With the Reconfirm COD Orders - 2 Attempts (without auto cancel) Flow, you can put the entire process on autopilot.

Here is how the flow works:

  • A customer places a COD order on your store.
  • One hour after the order is placed, the customer receives a WhatsApp message asking them to confirm their order.
  • If the customer confirms the order, it is tagged appropriately in your Store backend, and you can proceed with fulfilling the order.
  • If the customer does not confirm the order, they receive a second WhatsApp message one hour later, reminding them to confirm their order.
  • If the customer confirms the order after the second reminder, it is tagged appropriately in your Store backend, and you can proceed with fulfilling the order.
  • If the customer does not confirm the order after the second reminder, it is tagged appropriately in your Store backend, but it is not automatically cancelled. You can decide to cancel the order manually, or you can wait to see if the customer contacts you to complete the purchase.

Note: The free version of the flow does not automatically cancel the order when the customer chooses the cancel option. It just tags the order appropriately in your store backend, and you can manually cancel the order if needed.
