Most template rejections happen because one or more components exceed Meta's allowed character limits. Use the limits below when creating your templates.

Header

The header is the first section of your message template. You can choose one of the following header types:

• Image
• Video
• Document
• Location
• Image Carousel
• Video Carousel

If you use media in the header, make sure your files are within the supported size limits:

• Image: Up to 5 MB
• Video: Up to 16 MB
• Document: Up to 100 MB

Body

The body is the main content of your message.

• The body can contain up to 1024 characters.
• Variables (for example, {{1}}) are supported in the body and count toward the total character limit.

Footer 

The footer is an optional section that appears at the bottom of the message.

• Up to 60 characters

Button

If your template includes buttons, the following limits apply:

• Button text: Up to 25 characters‍
• Quick reply text: Up to 25 characters

Tip: Keep your templates concise whenever possible. Shorter messages are easier for customers to read and are less likely to run into character limit issues during template creation.
